The Ben Sherman AW13 collection looks way better close up and this was evidenced during its recent AW13 press day held at it's Carnaby Street Store by it's rep Sane PR. The AW13 collection is influenced by the 1950's both in prints and cuts. The beautiful motif prints represent pitmen and mining communities of Mid-century Britain. During the 1950's and latter decades, the spirit of these industrial towns and people were documented by scenic artists and it defined the north of England as both a place of warmth and community, as well as grit and hardship. All values that the Ben Sherman AW13 collection embibes.
Highly graphical shirting and all over print chino gives way to more subtle placement jacquards on knitwear and outerwear. The voluminous silhouette of the 50's sloppy trouser continues in variety of forms, from punchy hued to puppytooth, felted melton and printed twills.
